Collection of three different key Hall of Famers from the 1948 Leaf set, each with an unusual imperfection that has occurred in the printing process. At a glance it might appear that the text has "bled through" from the back to the front, but what has really happened with these cards is that when they were printed, the sheets were stacked on top of one another while still wet, in this case causing a transfer of ink from the reverse (text) of another sheet to the obverse of the offered cards. We rarely see this type of printing imperfection so prominent, and also rarely see these cards surface in groups (in this case it is no doubt related to the fact that these cards were all printed at the same time and have survived together). Each has been graded and encapsulated by SGC: #1 Joe DiMaggio (EX 60), 3 Babe Ruth (VG/EX 50), and 79 Jackie Robinson (rookie, VG/EX 50). Three key Hall of Famer printing anomalies from the popular 1948 Leaf series. Total 3 cards. Reserve $500. Estimate $1,000+. SOLD FOR $1,880
