Collection of four key Hall of Famers, each a universally recognized classic, spanning the years of 1933 to 1954, from four different highly regarded gum-card issues. All four cards have been graded and encapsulated by SGC (all submitted by REA). 1) 1933 R319 Goudey: #92 Lou Gehrig (SGC VG 40). Bright and clean with no creases, crisp image, and just honest corner wear. Great-looking card. 2) 1940 R335 Play Ball: #27 Ted Williams (SGC VG/EX 50). Second-year card. Centerd to the right with no creases and slightly rounded corners. 3) 1954 Bowman: #66 Ted Williams (SGC VG/EX 50). Universally recognized as one of the most significant of all postwar baseball-card rarities. Crystal-clear image with slightly rounded corners, a tiny corner crease in the lower left, and centered to the bottom left. 4) 1954 Topps: #128 Hank Aaron (SGC VG/EX 50). Classic rookie card of "Hammerin'" Hank. The card displays four square corners (a little more wear in the lower right), vibrant colors, a tiny indentation above Aaron's left eye, and centered a hint to the right. Solid Ex-Mt card downgraded because of a light diagonal crease near the lower left corner. Four relatively affordable (compared to higher-grade examples), extremely attractive quality cards of Hall of Famers, each a key card from its respective set, and each among the most famous cards of the twentieth century. Total 4 cards. Reserve $500. Estimate $1,000/$1,500.
