Graded NM-MT 8 by PSA. Only two examples have ever been graded higher by PSA. The 1935 Diamond Stars bubble-gum card of Cochrane is one of the most popular of all Mickey Cochrane cards. This card is perfectly centered with four razor-sharp corners, flawless registration, and deep, rich colors. The card has a slight hint of a vertical print line and the reverse has just the slightest hint of natural toning along the edges, virtually undetectable but mentioned strictly for the sake of accuracy (this in no way affects the overall grade). All Diamond Stars are extremely rare to find in NM-MT condition, but as card #9 in the R327 Diamond Stars set (low-number cards have a tendency to gravitate to the top of large piles of cards when put in numerical order, therefore naturally being subjected to more wear), Cochrane is a special condition rarity, and a particularly difficult card to find in such incredibly high grade. Reserve $300. Estimate $500/$1,000. SOLD FOR $1,293
