Collection of seven high-quality cards of Hall of Famers (all rookie cards) from five different vintage sets, spanning the years 1932 to 1941. All seven cards (among them is one pin) have been graded and encapsulated by SGC or PSA. The collection consists of the following: 1) 1932 PR2 Orbit Gum Pins: #58 Ernie Lombardi (PSA NM 7). 2) 1933 R305 Tattoo Orbit: Ernie Lombardi (SGC EX 60). 3) 1934 R320 Goudey: #62 Hank Greenberg (SGC GOOD 30). 4) 1938 R323 Goudey: #258 Bobby Doerr (PSA NM 7). 5) 1941 R330 Double Play (3 cards): #39-40 Mize/Slaughter (PSA NM 7), 61-62 Gomez/Rizzuto (PSA NM 7), and 131-132 Campbell/Boudreau (PSA EX 5). This is an interesting assemblage of quality 1930s and 1940s Hall of Famers, often overlooked for their significance as rookie cards, that were carefully assembled by a very advanced and dedicated rookie-card collector, one card at a time with an eye for overall visual appeal and value. Total 7 cards. Reserve $400. Estimate $800/$1,200.
