Collection of four classic T207 Hall of Famers, highlighted by the very scarce Bill McKechnie, each graded and encapsulated by PSA: 1) Bill McKechnie (NM 7 [OC], highest-graded example, centered 10/90 T/B, sharp corners and perfect registration). We have always found McKechnie to be a particularly rare T207, especially for a subject issued with a Recruit back, and the modest number of only fourteen graded examples listed in the PSA population report is consistent with this observation. (Also note, of these fourteen examples, nine are graded either PSA 1 or PSA 2.) All have Recruit Little Cigars advertising backs. 2) Harry Hooper (EX-MT 6, only example graded at this level by PSA. This is the highest non-qualified Hooper example in the entire PSA population report. Note: one example is graded higher but with a qualifier.) 3) Roger Bresnahan (EX-MT 6, centered 80/20 L/R and two small stains on the reverse). 4) Max Carey (EX-MT 6, only two examples graded higher, just a hint of light wear on the corners and centered slightly towards the bottom right). Four extremely high quality Hall of Famers from the T207 Brown Background series, one of the premier baseball tobacco-card sets from the 1910 era. Total 4 cards. Reserve $1,000. Estimate $2,000+. SOLD FOR $2,644
