Hall of Famer Bobby Wallace is one of several players in the T205 Gold Border set who is represented by two completely different poses, one of which (the "no cap" variety) is one of the rarest cards in the set. The rare "no cap" variety itself was actually issued with two different variations, relating to the text on the reverse. Presented is a complete set of all three Bobby Wallace variations from the classic T205 Gold Border series, all graded and encapsulated by SGC (except one PSA): 1) With cap – SGC VG/EX 50. This is a very clean example with perfect colors, light, even corner wear, and very well centered. Downgraded from Excellent due to a tiny surface wrinkle in the center of the top border. The back is perfectly clean with bold blue text. Advertisement for Piedmont on reverse. 2) No cap, one line of 1910 stats – PSA VG-EX 4. The most difficult to find of the two varieties of Wallace's rare "no cap" pose in the T205 set. This T205 rarity is bright and crisp, with rounded corners and some light surface wear but no creases. The reverse is perfectly clean, centered to the left. Honest Long Cut advertisement on the back. 3) No cap, two lines of 1910 stats – SGC VG 40. The card is well centered, with a deep blue background, a couple very tiny light creases, and evenly rounded corners. Advertisement for Piedmont on reverse. For the T205 set builder seeking to fill in these difficult slots, this collection presents an exceptional opportunity. Three cards of Hall of Famer Bobby Wallace from one of the most popular sets of the era. Total 3 cards. Reserve $500. Estimate $1,000/$1,500. SOLD FOR $2,350
