Graded VG 40 by SGC. Rare Broad Leaf 460 back T206 Hall of Famer example. Extremely attractive T206 White Border with Broad Leaf 460 advertising reverse featuring Hall of Famer Vic Willis (throwing pose). Only Old Mill brown backs can compete with Broad Leaf 460 in terms of rarity among T206 backs. Even a common-player T206 Broad Leaf 460 back is noteworthy. This is a tremendous Hall of Famer example, and one with an appearance much stronger than its technically accurate SGC grade. The card has been downgraded due to light, even corner wear (a little more in the upper left), a small crease in the lower left corner, and a very tiny stain (extremely small, of little or no consequence) in the foreground. The card is bright and crisp, both front and back, with perfect centering, bold color, and flawless registration. The reverse is clean with extremely crisp bold print, which, of course, is particularly ideal for a rare T206 advertising-back example. This is a very attractive rare-back variety of this classic card of Hall of Famer Vic Willis from the premier tobacco-card set of the era. Reserve $1,000. Estimate $2,500+. SOLD FOR $9,400
