One of the most popular and colorful trading-card sets of the post-WW II era, Bowman Gum's "Red Menace" set was produced during the heart of the Cold War, and captures the political spirit of the times. This complete set of 48 cards (all gray backs) ranges in grade from Ex to Nr/Mt (averaging Ex-Mt), with the exception of seven cards which range from Vg to Vg-Ex. Keys: #1 "Reds Invade South Korea" (Vg-Ex), #19 "Atomic Doom" (Vg-Ex), #23 "Ghost City" (Ex-Mt), and #47 "War-Maker" (Ex-Mt). Exceptionally attractive, crisp, clean, overall high-grade set of this classic, and extremely historically significant, 1950s nonsport issue. Total 48 cards. Reserve $300. Estimate $500/$1,000. SOLD FOR $1,293
