The extremely colorful Boy Scouts set was issued with Goudey’s Some Boy Chewing Gum in 1933. The 48-card set is one of the earliest of all Goudey sets. Grades 80% Vg-Ex/Ex to Ex-Mt and 20% Vg. This set was issued back in the days when the Boy Scouts were a big part of American culture. Each card, measuring 2-1/8 x 3-1/4 inches, features a colorful, extremely detailed artistic image relating to different activities and interests of Boy Scouts, and the detailed reverses provide valuable information ranging from survival techniques to historical lessons. This is an extremely attractive set with outstanding eye-appeal. Goudey Boy Scouts cards are rarely offered as a complete set, and are far rarer than the landmark Big League Gum baseball card series, which was also issued by Goudey in 1933. Total 48 cards. Reserve $500. Estimate $1,000/$1,500. SOLD FOR $1,293
