Graded VG 3 by PSA. T204 Ramly "square border" variation card of Chicago Cubs catcher P.J. Moran. One of only three square-frame examples of Moran graded by PSA. "Square frame" Ramlys are one of tobacco-card collecting's most legendary and elusive rarities. Six cards in the T204 Ramly set are known to exist with this distinctive square-frame design. All are extremely rare. Only a few examples of each T204 "square frame" card are known, and each is far rarer than many of the most well known tobacco-card rarities such as the T206 Wagner or Plank. This is an extremely attractive example with even corner wear and a few very minor creases in the border areas only, not affecting the crisp, clean portrait image. The blank back has evidence of light shading/toning. This is an exceptional sample of one of the rarest variations from the classic T204 Ramly set. Reserve $500. Estimate $1,000/$2,500++.
