Alex Rodriguez Louisville Slugger signature-model "C271" bat dating to his 2003 MVP season with the Texas Rangers. Graded a perfect GU10 by PSA/DNA. The bat displays heavy use along its entire length, including numerous ball marks and stitch impressions, cleat marks, and a thick coat of Mota stick on the handle. Ideally, Rodriguez has personally attested to its game-used status by inscribing it in silver paint pen (grading "10") on the "sweet spot" of the barrel: "Alex Rodriguez - 2003 Game Used." "ARod" batted .298 with 118 RBI and league-leading totals in both home runs (47) and runs scored (124) in 2003. Those impressive numbers later earned him the first of his three MVP Awards. While one can only wonder how many home runs Rodriguez hit that summer with this bat, given its incredible amount of use, and the fact that is not cracked, it was probably more than a few. This is an ideal Alex Rodriguez game bat dating from one of the greatest seasons of his illustrious career. Length: 33.75 inches. Weight: 32 ounces. LOAs from John Taube and Vince Malta of PSA/DNA and James Spence/JSA. Reserve $200. Estimate $400/$600.
