The beautiful lithography, the great number of stars represented, and the unique design of T202 Hassan Triple Folders combine to make it one of the most highly regarded of all baseball card sets of the era. Offered is a complete set of this classic tobacco-card issue (131 different cards), missing only one card for completion #44 Devlin-Giants/Mathewson. Included are all five Ty Cobbs, seven Christy Mathewsons (of the eight in the set), two Walter Johnsons, four Tris Speakers, Cy Young, and literally dozens of stars and additional Hall of Famers. T202s are unnumbered. In the following condition composite, identifying card numbers are referenced from the numbers provided by the Standard Catalog of Baseball Cards checklist. We have submitted thirty-nine cards from this complete set to be graded and encapsulated by SGC. Please note that the grading companies are notoriously hard on T202s due to the "spider creases" which naturally occur along the folds of the side panels, as well as roller marks that are so common to the issue. These natural manufacturing flaws result in particularly harsh grading by SGC. The SGC-graded cards in this near-complete set have superior eye-appeal, with virtually all cards presenting far nicer than suggested by their technically accurate grades.
