Fall 2016 Auction Preview

Robert Edward Auctions appreciates and enjoys the outstanding variety of memorabilia, advertising pieces, and photographic displays that fill each and every auction, and this fall’s offerings include some tremendous new-to-the-hobby items that are sure to be hotly contested. A stunning 1895 Cleveland Spiders imperial cabinet photograph, with Hall of Famer Cy Young prominently featured in the middle, is offered publicly for the first time ever. A beautiful Christy Mathewson Tuxedo Tobacco advertising poster has been restored to its former glory and is a majestic throwback to advertising of the 1910-era. Incredible panoramas capture significant moments in baseball history, including Addie Joss Day, the first game of the Federal League, the World Tour faceoff between the White Sox and Giants, and a 1920 scrimmage between the New York Giants and the US Military. Countless additional pieces of advertising and displays are also offered, including a 1960s Jell-O display with Mickey Mantle, a rare Boston Garter advertising display with Hall of Famers Fred Clarke and Frank Chance, several scarce pennants, and imperial team photographs.
