Graded VG 3 by PSA. Presented is an outstanding sample card of Hall of Famer Leon "Goose" Goslin from the rarely encountered 1925 Holland Creameries set. Issued in Canada, this obscure 1920s issue was produced to commemorate the Washington Senators’ 1924 Championship season, the set features exclusively Senators players. Each card is printed in blue and measures 1-1/2 by 3 inches. The front features a portrait image of the player with the text “Holland – World’s Champions” printed above the image and the player’s name and position printed below. The back of the card advertises a promotional offer in which consumers could exchange a complete set of 18 cards for a valuable prize. The offered card is bright and crisp, with even wear on the corners, a couple very faint surface creases in the upper left (more visible from the reverse), and some light staining. Boldly printed reverse. This is an outstanding Hall of Famer example from this extremely rare regional set, which would make a significant addition to any Washington Senators or type-card collection. Reserve $400. Estimate (open).
