Presented is an example of New York Yankees Hall of Famer Lou Gehrig from the 1928 Exhibits set. One of the key cards to the 1928 Exhibit card set features Gehrig in a full-length batting pose. The blue-tinted card with a blank back was produced by the Exhibit Supply Co. of Chicago. The lower left corner has the printed notation “Lou Gehrig – New York, A.L.” Graded GOOD+ 2.5 by PSA (submitted by REA), the card has a bright, crisp image, with even wear to the corners, no creases, and a moisture stain on the lower half of the card. Aside from the mentioned moisture stain, the blank reverse is clean. This is a relatively affordable example of this very desirable Gehrig card that would be a worthy addition to any Lou Gehrig, Exhibit, or prewar-card collection. Reserve $300. Estimate $500+.
