Graded VG/EX 50 by SGC. Outstanding mid-grade example of Babe Ruth from the sepia-toned 1922 Eastern Exhibit series. Cards from this unusual and distinctive Exhibit style set are considerably rarer than the black-and-white Exhibit cards of the same era. Bright and crisp with even corner wear. A very light factory roller mark extending halfway across the postcard-style reverse accounts for the conservatively assigned grade. It is interesting to note that the printed copyright line on the back with the companies Philadelphia address has been blacked out and the new Chicago address is printed below it. A very attractive example and a worthy addition to any Exhibits, Babe Ruth, or classic prewar-cards collection. Reserve $300. Estimate $500++.
