Graded EX 60 by SGC. One of just two examples graded at this level, with none graded higher! Very attractive example of this classic bakery card of Charles "Buck" Herzog from the New York Giants. Similar in design to tobacco and candy cards of the era, Brunners measure slightly larger than T206s, at 1.75 x 2.5 inches, and are considerably rarer than most 1910-era "E" and "T" card issues. The fronts feature very attractive full-color illustrations, each of which is unique to this issue. These bakery cards were issued in Buffalo and come with several different styles of advertising on the reverse. This sample features the Brunners Butter-Krust brand bread ad on the back. Bright and crisp, both front and back, with brilliant colors and four strong corners displaying light, even wear. A very light wrinkle extends from the right edge. Well-centered and boldly printed reverse. This is an extremely attractive mid-grade example of one of Herzog's most striking cards from this rare prewar food issue. Reserve $300. Estimate $1,000+.
