Presented is a collection of thirty-two (twenty-two different and ten duplicates) scarce T206 Southern Leaguers. The Southern Leaguers have always been appreciated for their scarcity and as a popular subset to the T206 series. They have also always been listed at a significant premium in relation to regular cards in the set. Nineteen cards in this collection have Piedmont reverses, twelve have Old Mill backs, and one has a Hindu advertising reverse. Condition is: five Gd to Vg, seven Fr, and twenty Pr to Pr-Fr (including one trimmed). Six cards are graded and encapsulated by PSA. This collection consists of the following: Two Bastian - San Antonio (one graded GOOD 2), three Coles - Augusta (two graded, VG+ 3.5 and VG 3), three Foster - Charleston, Fritz - New Orleans, two B. Hart - Little Rock, Hickman - Mobile, Howard - Savannah, Jordan - Atlanta, two King - Danville, Lafitte - Macon (Hindu), Lentz - Little Rock, Lipe - Richmond, Manion - Columbia, Otey - Norfolk, two Paige - Charleston, Reagan - New Orleans (VG+ 3.5), two Revelle - Richmond (one graded PR-FR 1), Ryan - Roanoke, two Seitz - Norfolk, Shaughnessy - Roanoke, Thebo - Waco (GOOD 2), and Thornton - Mobile. The scarcity of the Southern Leaguers has always made putting together a complete T206 set particularly difficult. This is a very attractive low-grade collection of Southern Leaguers, with most cards having an appearance superior to their technically accurate grades. The total SMR value for just the six graded cards is $468. Total: 32 cards. Reserve $300. Estimate $500+.
