Collection of twenty-four different cards from the desirable T206 White Border Southern Leaguer subset, representing exactly half of the forty-eight-card set. Each card is professionally graded and encapsulated by PSA. The Southern Leaguers have always been appreciated for their scarcity and as a popular subset to the T206 series. They have also always been listed at a significant premium in relation to regular cards in the set. All cards in the offered collection have Old Mill (eleven) or Piedmont (thirteen) advertising backs. PSA Grading Composite: One EX+ 5.5: Guiheen – Portsmouth. Five EX 5: Bastian – San Antonio, Breitenstein - New Orleans (Old Mill), Helm – Columbus (Old Mill), Hooker – Lynchburg, Manion – Columbia (Old Mill). Two VG-EX+ 4.5: Bay – Nashville (Old Mill) and Thebo – Waco. Six VG-EX 4: Carey – Memphis, Coles – Augusta, Jordan – Atlanta (Old Mill), Reagan - New Orleans (Old Mill), Revelle – Richmond (Old Mill), and Stark - San Antonio. One VG+ 3.5: Lentz - Little Rock (Old Mill). Six VG 3: Hart - Little Rock (Old Mill), King – Danville, Miller - Dallas, Paige – Charleston (Old Mill), Thornton – Mobile, and Westlake – Danville. Two GOOD+ 2.5: Rockenfeld – Montgomery and Shaughnessy – Roanoke (Old Mill). One GOOD 2: Hickman – Mobile. The scarcity of the Southern Leaguers has always made putting together a complete T206 set particularly difficult. While the condition of this collection spans several grades, it is an overall very attractive group of Southern Leaguers that will provide an outstanding foundation for the assembly of a complete subset. The SMR value in the assigned grades (factoring in the six half-grades at the lower whole-grade level) is $5,005. Total: 24 cards. Reserve $2,000. Estimate $4,000+.
