Fascinating and extremely rare relic relating to the very popular "The Beatles" series produced by Topps in 1964. Presented is an original Topps advertising sheet which was to be sent to stores to announce and promote the upcoming release of "The Beatles Bubble Gum Picture Cards." We have never seen another example of this rarity. When the Beatles stormed the shores of America, an uncontrollable appetite for Beatles-related products resulted, and Topps could barely keep up with the demand for new, exciting, and now classic Beatles trading cards. This advertising sheet, which measures 8.5 x 11 inches and features an image of a complete unopened wax box of Beatles cards, has the word "Hot!" across the top and is deliberately designed as if the piece was caught in a fire with a burn mark on the top right edge. Below the image the sheet reads: Photos Of The Hottest Teen-Age Item In The Nation Today Are Now Featured On Autographed Picture Cards With Bubble Gum. Boys And Girls Alike Are Going Wild For The Beatles..And Are Screaming For More! Fill The Rage Demand. Order Now!
Three punch holes appear along the left side (related to binder storage) and a staple hole near the upper left corner of the sheet; the sheet otherwise presents in beautiful Near Mint condition. Originating directly from Topps, the piece has been framed and matted to total dimensions of 14 x 16.5 inches. This is a tremendous display piece relating to "The Beatles" cards issued by Topps, and would make an outstanding addition to any Beatles, Topps advertising, or nonsport-card collection. Reserve $300. Estimate (open).
