Complete original unopened wax box of 1960 Topps "Funny Valentines - A Series" nonsport cards. The box houses thirty-six packs. From the late 1950s through the 1960s, cards with designs spoofing valentines, with the irreverent and humorous sensibility of Mad
magazine, were extremely popular on playgrounds throughout the country, and this is Topps' entry into the mix. The box comes shrink-wrapped by Baseball Card Exchange (owned by Steve Hart, the foremost expert on unopened material). While it is impossible to provide guarantees with reference to grading of unopened material, there is, of course, the very real possibility that within this box are Mint or Gem Mint examples. The store display box is bright and bold, with only a few minor touches of shelf wear. It otherwise presents exactly as it did on store shelves 57 years ago! This is an outstanding complete unopened wax box from this very popular nonsport issue. Reserve $200. Estimate (open).
