Collection of fourteen different hardcover books by beloved children's writer Dr. Seuss, each signed on the interior by the author. Dr. Seuss was the pen name of Theodore Giesel and as such, each of the books has been signed "Dr. Seuss," with some also featuring an inscription or personalization. One of the books (The Shape of Me and Other Stuff) is also accompanied by a Cat in the Hat stationery inscribed by Dr. Seuss. Unless otherwise noted, all of the signatures have been scripted in black marker (grading "9" or "10") and appear on one of the first two pages (usually the front fly leaf). Most are lightly read and display a price sticker on either the front or back cover. The collection is composed of the following:

1) Horton Hatches The Egg. Inscribed in blue ink “for Nicole with Best Wishes from Dr. Seuss.” Random House, New York, 1940 (but a later printing). Vg-Ex.

2) Thidwick The Big-Hearted Moose. Inscribed in blue ink “for Nicole with Best Wishes – Dr. Seuss.” Random House, New York, 1948 (but a later printing). Ex.

3) Horton Hears A Who! Inscribed in blue ink “for Nicole with Best Wishes from Dr. Seuss.” Random House, New York, 1954 (but a later printing). Ex.

4) Yertle the Turtle and Other Stories. Inscribed in red marker “for David – Dr. Seuss.” Random House, New York, 1958 (but a later printing). Vg-Ex.

5) The Sneetches And Other Stories. Inscribed in blue ink “for Nicole with Best Wishes from Dr. Seuss.” Random House, New York, 1961. Vg.

6) Hop on Pop. Inscribed in blue ink “for Bob with Best Wishes – Dr. Seuss. Beginner Books (a division of Random House), New York, 1963. Includes a lengthy inscription from the original presenter. Vg.

7) The Shape of Me and Other Stuff. Inscribed “for Sandy with Best Wishes – Dr. Seuss.” Accompanying the book is a Cat in the Hat stationery (5.5 x 8.5 inches) that features another signed inscription: “With Best Wishes to Sandy – Dr. Seuss” (inscription in black marker, signature in red crayon).
