Rare Boston Braves double-sided pennant dating from the club's 1948 pennant-winning season. This is the first example of this unusual double-sided pennant we have ever seen! One side of the blue-felt pennant makes clear that is was issued at the 1948 World Series, with the text reading "Souvenir of 1948 World Series - Boston Braves vs. Cleveland Indians." An illustrated design featuring the profiles of an Indian chief and warrior, is displayed to the right. The other side of the pennant reads "Braves Field - Braves" and features a similar Indian chief profile within a baseball diamond motif. The pennant (27.5 inches in length), which is complete with tassels, displays moderate wear, including a clipped tip, pin holes, and crazing to the painted letters and images.
