Stunning PC760 Rose Postcard of Hall of Famer "Iron Man" Joe McGinnity in uniform. This is one of the best cards of Joe McGinnity, who was one of the greatest pitching legends of his era. As a rookie he won 28 games, and for the next decade he averaged 25 victories a season, pitching over 300 innings every year but one. He earned his nickname by on occasion pitching both ends of a doubleheader. Among advanced collectors Rose Postcards are regarded as one of the most striking and magnificently designed baseball-card sets ever produced. They are also extremely rare. Encapsulated as Authentic by SGC due to irregularities on all four edges, the card is clean and crisp, with four strong corners showing light touches of wear, and an entirely clean, postally unused reverse. This is an outstanding Hall of Fame example from one of the era's most classic sets. Reserve $200. Estimate (open).
