Official 1983 All-Star Game ball signed by Hall of Fame pitcher Waite Hoyt on a side panel in black felt-tip marker (grading "7"). Hoyt was one of many former All-Star Game participants who attended the 1983 midsummer classic as part of the ceremony marking the 50th anniversary of the All-Star Game. While we cannot state with certainty, this ball was probably signed by Hoyt at the event. One thing we do know is that it was probably one of the last balls signed by Hoyt, as he died just one year later at the age of 84. The ball displays scattered areas of light age toning and a tiny abrasion on the ball label; otherwise it is in Near Mint condition. Full LOA from James Spence/JSA. Pre certified by Steve Grad and Brian Sobrero/Beckett Authentication. Reserve $300. Estimate $500+.
