Trio of limited-edition signed baseball figurines, depicting either Mickey Mantle or Joe DiMaggio, issued by either Salvino or Gartlan. 1) Mickey Mantle signed Salvino figurine. The figurine depicts Mantle in a batting pose as a member of the New York Yankees wearing uniform #6 (his rookie number). Signed by Mantle in blue Sharpie ("9/10") on the signature plate attached to the base. A plate affixed to the underside of the base notes that this figurine is limited in number to 368 and that the offered piece is number "311." The top of the base displays a few moderate scratches; otherwise the piece remains in Near Mint condition overall. (The bat is removable, as is the figure from the stand.) 2) Mickey Mantle signed Salvino figurine. The figurine depicts Mantle in a batting pose as a member of the New York Yankees wearing uniform #7. (The bat is removable, as is the figure from the stand.) 3) Joe DiMaggio signed Gartlan figurine. Titled "The Yankee Clipper," the figurine depicts DiMaggio in a batting pose as a member of the New York Yankees. Signed by DiMaggio in blue Sharpie ("9/10") on the front of the signature plate attached to the base. Garltan president, "R. H. Gartlan," has signed the other side of the signature plate in blue Sharpie. A plate affixed to the underside of the base notes that this figurine is limited in number to 325 (DiMaggio's lifetime average) and that the offered piece is number "318." The bat has broken off (it appears that it was once repaired by means of an adhesive) but it can still be mounted onto the protruding metal rod and displayed properly. Aside from that, the piece remains in Near Mint condition. (The figure is permanently attached to the base.) Total: 3 signed figurines. The substantial size/weight/delicate nature of this item requires that there will be a shipping charge for this lot (which will vary depending upon where it is being shipped). The shipping charge will be billed separately from the auction invoice. Reserve $300. Estimate $1,000+.
