Collection of eight autographed items, each signed by a former Major League Baseball commissioner, league president, or executive. Each item, with the exception of the two signed baseballs, has been encapsulated by SGC/JSA, with the signature certified as "Authentic." 1) August Herrmann (1859-1931). Owner of the Cincinnati Reds and president of the National Commission (1903-1920), baseball's first governing body. Cut signature in black fountain pen (grading "9"). The irregular cut (3.25 x 1.25 inches) has been affixed to a lined index card. Vg-Ex, with a vertical fold that transverses the signature. 2) Ban Johnson (1864-1931). First president of the American League (1901-1927). Cut signature in black fountain pen ("9"). The irregular cut (3 x .75 inches) has been affixed to an irregular magazine photo of Johnson (3.25 x 5 inches), which in turn has been affixed to an identically trimmed index card. Ex. 3) Kenesaw Landis (1866-1944). First Commissioner of Baseball (1920-1944). Cut signature in black fountain pen ("9"). The irregular cut (3 x 1 inches) has been affixed to a lined index card. Vg, with a vertical fold that transverses the signature. 4) Thomas Lynch (1859-1924). Eighth National League president (1910-1913). Cut signature in black fountain pen ("9"). The irregular cut (2 x .75 inches) has been affixed to a small newspaper or magazine page segment, which in turn has been affixed to a lined index card. Ex-Mt. 5) John Heydler (1869-1956). Tenth National League president (1918-1934). Cut signature in black fountain pen (signature very slightly cut off; otherwise "9"). The irregular cut (4 x 1 inches) has been affixed to a small newspaper or magazine page segment, which in turn has been affixed to a lined index card. Vg, with a vertical fold that transverses the signature. 6) William Harridge (1881-1971). Third president of the American League (1931-1959). Cut signature in black fountain pen ("9"). The irregular cut (3.5 x 1 inches) has been affixed to a lined index card. Vg, with a light horizontal fold that transverses the signature. 7) Albert "Happy" Chandler (1898-1991). Second Commissioner of Baseball (1945-1951). Single-signed ball. In blue ink ("9") across the sweet spot of an official National League (White) ball. The ball displays the slightest hint of age toning and is in Near Mint condition. Accompanied by COA from JSA. 8) Chub Feeney (1921-1994). Thirteenth president of the National League (1970-1986). Single-signed ball. In red marker ("7") on the side panel of an official National League (Feeney) ball. Vg, with moderate-to-heavy toning and soiling. Accompanied by a COA from JSA. Total: 8 items.
