Graded NM-MT+ 8.5 by PSA. Ultra high-grade example of Carroll "Whitey" Lockman from the 1950 Drake's Cookies issue. Because of the black flush-to-the-border design and how they were issued (regionally, one card per box, and with cookies to kids), Drake's has always been a very condition-sensitive issue. This is the only example graded at this level by PSA with none higher! Out of 928 Drake's cards evaluated by PSA to date, only two cards of any player have graded at this level, with only two higher. Crisp and clean, both front and back, with centering only slightly toward the left. Four sharp corners with only the slightest touches of wear at the tips visible under magnification. This is a superb high-grade example that would be a worthy addition to the finest 1950 Drake's collection. Reserve $200. Estimate (open).
