Graded VG 40 by SGC (submitted by REA). Exceedingly rare example of #29 Babe Ruth from the 1931 W-UNC Strip Card issue. This is the first example we have ever offered of one of Babe Ruth's rarest and most elusive cards. This set very closely resembles several other issues from the same time-period, including the W502 series and the Yuengling's, Tharp's, and Harrington's ice-cream sets, except for having blank backs. This example is bright and crisp, with outstanding centering and light wear on the corners. There are a few unobtrusive creases and light spots of age toning on the blank reverse. This is an outstanding example worthy of any high-quality Babe Ruth or prewar-card collection. Reserve $300. Estimate $500+.
