Outstanding collection of six different R328 U.S. Caramel cards, each professionally graded by PSA. Five of the six cards in this collection depict Hall of Famers. The 1932 multisport set produced by U.S. Caramel is considerably rarer than Goudeys and most other 1930s sets, and has long been recognized as among the most desirable issues of the era. With their distinctive red backgrounds, they are also widely regarded as one of the most striking of all 1930s card issues. This collection consists of the following: #1 Collins (HOF, VG 3), 13 L. Waner (HOF, VG-EX+ 4.5), 20 Ruffing (HOF, EX-MT 6), 27 Grove (HOF, VG-EX 4), 29 Earnshaw (VG-EX 4), and 31 Gomez (HOF, VG-EX 4). This is a very attractive collection of six baseball players from the scarce and desirable U.S. Caramel set. The total SMR value in the assigned grades is $1,710. Total: 6 cards. Reserve $400. Estimate $1,000+.
