Exceptional Kalamazoo Bats sample card of Philadelphia Athletics infielder Harry Stovey (hands outstretched). It is interesting to note that this card lists "Stowe" as the last name. This is an ideal example with excellent contrast and detail. The card has an overall Excellent appearance, with four strong corners and centering slightly to the top. It is modestly graded GOOD 30 by SGC due to two small surface chips in the left border. The blank reverse is entirely clean, with only a few age spots along the top edge mentioned strictly for the sake of accuracy. A beautiful sample card from this extremely desirable and highly collectible nineteenth-century set. Reserve $300. Estimate $500/$1,000+.
