Two cards from this extremely rare cabinet-card set issued in 1911 by Jones, Keyser & Arras Studios of New York City. Each card is graded and encapsulated FAIR 20 by SGC: #307 Al Bridwell (only example graded by SGC) and 308 Red Murray (only example graded by SGC). Little is known about exactly how this unusual and remarkably high quality set was issued. Each cabinet card (4.75 x 7.25 inches) in the set features a mounted sepia-toned photograph on the front and the studio's name and address in the lower left on the reverse. This is one of the rarest and most substantial of all prewar issues, and even finding a sample card from this set is very challenging. Both cards display flawless photographs, even corner wear, and a clean reverse (Murray has chipping along the left edge of the reverse). Each card has paper loss on one corner of the mount, which accounts for their assigned grades. Total: 2 cards. Reserve $300. Estimate (open).
