Graded EX 60 by SGC. This is the ONLY example graded at this level with none higher! Extremely rare sample card of 1912-1913 T215 Red Cross Tobacco (Type 2), featuring Russ Ford of the New York Yankees. T215 Red Cross is one of tobacco-card collecting's most overlooked issues. Very similar in design and borrowing images from the T206 set, T215 Red Cross cards are believed to have been issued exclusively in the Louisiana area. The cards measure 1-1/2 x 2-5/8 inches, which is the standard size for tobacco issues. The offered example is bright, crisp, and clean, with bold colors, four strong corners, and perfect centering. The Red Cross advertisement on the reverse is boldly printed and centered. This is a very desirable sample from one of tobacco-card collecting's rarest sets. Reserve $300. Estimate $500+.
