Graded EX+ 70 by SGC. This is the ONLY example graded at this level with none higher! Extremely rare high-grade sample card of 1912-1913 T215 Red Cross Tobacco (Type 2), featuring Ed Summers of Providence. T215 Red Cross is one of tobacco-card collecting's most overlooked issues. Very similar in design and borrowing images from the T206 set, T215 Red Cross cards are believed to have been issued exclusively in the Louisiana area. The cards measure 1-1/2 x 2-5/8 inches, which is the standard size for tobacco issues. The offered example is bright, crisp, and clean, with bold colors, four strong corners, and perfect centering. The Red Cross advertisement on the reverse is boldly printed and perfectly centered. Only five T215 Red Cross cards (of any subject) out of 195 submissions to date have ever been graded higher by SGC and PSA. An extremely desirable high-grade example from one of tobacco-card collecting's rarest sets. Reserve $300. Estimate $500+.
