Collection of twenty-three different T206 White Borders, highlighted by eleven Hall of Famers, including Ty Cobb, Walter Johnson, and Christy Mathewson. Thirteen cards are professionally graded and encapsulated by PSA or SGC. All backs are Piedmont or Sweet Caporal unless noted. This collection consists of the following: Abbaticchio/Blue Sleeves (PSA VG-EX 4 [MC]), Baker (HOF, SGC VG+ 45), Chance/portrait, yellow background (HOF, SGC VG+ 45), Cobb/bat on shoulder (HOF, PSA GOOD 2), Dineen (Cycle 350, PSA GOOD+ 2.5), Dooin (EPDG, marks on back, otherwise Vg), Downs (Pr), Joe Dunn (Fr), Evers/Portrait (HOF, SGC VG/EX 50), Evers/with bat, Cubs on shirt (HOF, SGC GOOD+ 35, parts of two backs showing), Hallman (Sovereign 350, PSA PR-FR 1), Hart (Southern Leaguer, Old Mill, Pr), Izzy Hoffman (Sovereign 350, PSA PR-FR 1), Huggins/hands at mouth (HOF, Fr), Johnson/hands at chest (HOF, Old Mill, SGC Authentic, slight trim), Johnson/portrait (HOF, PSA PR 1), Kelley (HOF, Polar Bear, Pr), Kruger (Cycle 350, pencil on back, otherwise Fr), Mathewson/white cap (HOF, PSA PR 1), McLean (Fr), Street/catching (Gd), Tinker/portrait (HOF, SGC POOR 10), and Weimer (Fr). While the condition of these cards is generally modest overall, they are ideal for the collector who wants real, original 1910-era tobacco cards and isn't interested in spending a fortune. The total SMR value in the assigned grades for eleven of the graded cards (excluding the one Authentic and the one qualified card) is $1,808. Total: 23 cards. Reserve $400. Estimate $1,000++.
