Collection of fourteen different cards from the T202 Hassan Triple Folder set, each graded and encapsulated by SGC (submitted by REA), highlighted by four cards featuring Hall of Famers. The beautiful lithography, the great number of stars represented, and the unique design of T202 Hassan Triple Folders combine to make it one of the most highly regarded of all baseball-card sets of the era. In the following list, the cards are referenced by the numbers provided by the Standard Catalog of Baseball Cards checklist. This lot consists of the following: One EX/NM 80: #12 Carrigan Gets His Man (Gaspar/McLean). One EX+ 70: #76 Jake Stahl Guarding First (Cicotte/Stahl). Two EX 60: #33 Close at First (Ball/Stovall) and 93 Lobert Gets Tenney (Lobert/Dooin). Two VG/EX+ 55: #57 Elberfeld Beats the Throw (Milan/Elberfeld) and 73 Hartzell Covering Third (Scanlan/Dahlen). Three VG/EX 50: #8 Baker Gets His Man (Collins/Baker), 40 Collins Easily Safe (Collins/Murphy), and 51 Donlin Out at First (Magee/Dooin). Four VG+ 45: #15 Caught Asleep Off First (Bresnahan/Harmon), 49 Donlin Out at First (Doyle/Merkle), 95 McConnell Caught (Richie/Needham), and 101 Schaefer Steals Second (McBride/Griffith). One Authentic: #42 Cree Rolls Home (Daubert/Hummel). This is an extremely attractive collection from this classic issue which would make outstanding additions to any high-quality complete set or prewar-card collection. The equivalent SMR value in the assigned grades (factoring in the seven half-grades at the lower whole-grade level, and excluding the one card designated Authentic) is $2,010. Total: 14 cards. Reserve $400. Estimate $1,000+.
