Collection of four cabinet cards, each picturing the legendary "Buffalo Bill" Cody. The two standard-size cabinets (4.25 x 6.5 inches), produced by Brooklyn photographer "Stacy," picture Cody in separate poses. Both cabinets feature Cody's facsimile signature on the reverse, which is preceded by the printed salutation "Yours truly." Vg-Ex overall, with one having minor paper loss and paper residue on the reverse from having once been mounted in an album. The third cabinet (4.25 x 5.75 inches), also produced by "Stacy," features the facsimile signature "W. F. Cody/Buffalo Bill" printed along the base of the mount. Ex-Mt, with a few minor creases in the upper right corner of the mount. The final card (3.25 x 5.25 inches), which features the same image of Cody seen in one of the larger cabinets, bears no photographer's credit, but displays the the facsimile signature "W. F. Cody/Buffalo Bill" printed along the base of the mount. Ex-Mt. This is a fine collection of "Buffalo Bill" cabinets, all of which were probably offered for sale as souvenirs at his long-running Wild West show. Total: 4 cabinets. Reserve $300. Estimate $500/$1,000+.
