Gold-colored wristwatch presented to Frank Finch in commemoration of the Los Angeles Rams 1951 World Championship. The watch, manufactured by LeCoultre, is engraved "L. A. Rams 1951 World Champions" around the front perimeter. The name "Frank Finch" is engraved on the reverse. Frank Finch was a well-known sportswriter who covered the Rams for the Los Angeles Times in 1951. It should be noted that the watch presented to Finch is similar, but not identical to those received by the players and team executives that year. (The player/executive watches were stamped 14K gold and had "Los Angeles Rams" spelled out on the front.) The Rams defeated the Cleveland Browns 24-17 in the NFL Championship game, which marked the first Championship in franchise history. The watch is not in working order, but it retains its original black-leather wristband and is otherwise in Excellent to Mint condition. Reserve $300. Estimate $500/$1,000.
