Rare uncut sheet used to produce Roger Maris PM10 stadium pins. The sheet (9.75 x 10.5 inches) features sixteen identical pin fronts, each with a yellow background and an image of Maris in a batting pose. These images would have been used in the production of a 1.75-inch diameter stadium pin (the diameter of each image on the sheet is slightly larger, because it was folded under the edges of the pin during the manufacturing process). This is the first example of a PM10 uncut sheet we have ever seen and the fact that it features a player of Maris' stature makes it all the more appealing. Accompanied by an original Maris PM10 pin (Ex-Mt) bearing the same image as those on the sheet, as well as four other Maris pins. One of the four (1.75 inches diameter) pictures Maris in a different pose (Ex-Mt), while the other three (3.5 inches in diameter; Ex overall) picture the same pose, but with varying color backgrounds. The sheet (Vg-Ex) displays a light water stain along the right border and a few minor surface wrinkles. It has been matted, by means of tape along the reverse, to total dimensions of 14 x 18 inches. Total: 6 items (uncut PM 10 sheet and five pins). Reserve $300. Estimate (open).
