Retail case of "Wiffle Ball King" wiffle balls, complete with all six balls in their original boxes. The appeal of these balls, as opposed to your standard wiffle ball, was that they came with the ringing endorsement of slugger Roger Maris ("Fun to Bat") and pitcher Vern Law ("Fun to Pitch"). Both players are pictured on the front exterior die-cut panel, as well as on the lid of each individual ball box. These balls probably date from 1961, because Maris was the reigning American League MVP at the time and Law was the reigning Cy Young Award winner (Law was injured in 1961 and won only three games that year). The retail box (11.25 x 7.5 x 4 inches) displays a few tears to the right flap and front panel, a few of which have been repaired with clear tape; otherwise the box is in Excellent condition overall. The interior balls and boxes are in Near Mint condition overall. This is a rare Maris piece and the first we have ever seen complete with all six balls. Reserve $200. Estimate (open).
