Collection of three scarce sports pennants, two baseball and one football, dating from the 1940s. All of the pennants are complete with tassels and display a slight clip at the tip and tack holes. 1)
Newark Eagles. This is one of a small number of Negro League pennants we have seen issued during the 1940s. 22.75 inches. Ex, minor crazing/chipping to the paint. 2)
Springfield Sallies. Springfield was a member of the All American Girls Professional Baseball League in 1948. From 1949 to 1951 they existed as a developmental team. 24.75 inches. Ex, with a few tiny areas of discoloration. 3)
New York Yanks. The New York Yankees were a member of the All-America Football Conference from 1946 to 1949. 28 inches. Ex, with a tiny stain to the right of the kicking figure. Total: 3 pennants. Reserve $200. Estimate (open).
