Rare ticket-book page of four St. Louis Cardinals tickets for the season of 1902, which appears to be signed on the reverse in black fountain pen by team owner Frank de Hass Robison. The tickets, which remain intact as issued, are for the final four games of the season, numbered, respectively, "Game 69," Game 70," "Game 71," and "Game 72." Each ticket reads "Complimentary" under the name of the team ("St. Louis Base Ball Club") and park ("League Park") and has been overstamped with the year "1902." The name "Frank deHass Robison, Prest.," is beautifully scripted in black fountain pen on the reverse and grades "10." Robison purchased the St. Louis National League club from Chris Von der Ahe in 1899 (changing the team name from Browns to Cardinals) and remained owner until 1906. He died two years later at the age of fifty-five. It should be noted that JSA has no exemplars of Robison's signature and therefore cannot authentic the signature. The ticket-book page (2.5 x 4.75 inches) displays light wear and remains in Excellent to Mint condition. Reserve $300. Estimate (open).
