Graded EX 60 by SGC (submitted by REA). One of only two examples graded at this level with none higher! This is a remarkably high-grade example for the 1903 E107 Breisch-Williams set. Extremely attractive sample card of Washington’s first baseman, Scoops Carey. Carey only played four seasons in the Major Leagues. He is well known among tobacco-card collectors for his inclusion in the Southern Leaguer subset from the popular T206 White Borders series. Bright and clean, with four strong corners, an outstanding image, and a virtually flawless printed reverse. This is a very striking and outstanding example from the legendary E107 set. From the Dan Gantt Collection. Reserve $500. Estimate $1,000++.
