Collection of sixty-seven signed cards from the Perez-Steele Great Moments Postcards. One of the most beautiful sets ever issued, Perez-Steele's Great Moments set began publication in 1985. The offering was limited to 5,000 numbered sets with periodical updates. The set is fashioned after the colorful T-3 Turkey Red cabinet cards of 1911 and salutes the defining moments in the careers of Baseball Hall of Famers. The complete set is comprised of 108 cards, which were issued in nine twelve-card series. Of the 108 cards in the set, only seventy could have possibly been signed by all of the players depicted on the card (two cards picture more than one player). The other thirty-six cards depict players who died prior to the set's issue. The offered collection features sixty-six of the seventy possible signed cards, plus card #91 signed by Pee Wee Reese only (the card pictures Reese and Jackie Robinson). Missing only #7 (Campanella), 68 (Sewell), 87 (Willie Mays, Mickey Mantle, and Duke Snider), and 98 (Ashburn) for autographed completeness. This the most complete signed set we have ever handled.
