This photo is accompanied by the unique provenance of originating from the daughter of one of the young men pictured here. In her accompanying one-page typed-signed letter, she details its history. In part: The Philadelphia A's held their Spring Training at La Palma Park, Anaheim, CA from 1940-1942. My dad, Vince, top row - 2nd from right, was a sophomore student at Anaheim High School in Anaheim, CA. who volunteered to do grunt work for the Philadelphia A's during their spring training at La Palma Park, Anaheim, CA in 1940. As a sign of appreciation, Connie personally signed a photograph for each of the boys who volunteered their time.
