1939 World's Fair Laurel Card, issued by the Academy of Sport, beautifully signed in blue fountain pen by Babe Ruth. Encapsulated by PSA/DNA, with the signature graded MINT 9. These cards were presented to each student who attended the daily sports clinics sponsored by the Academy of Sport at the 1939 World's Fair. The clinics featured many famous sports personalities of the day, who volunteered their time to instruct youngsters on the finer points of the game, and routinely signed these souvenir cards for attendees. The card (4.25 x 2.75 inches), which was issued to "Bernard Solomon of Brooklyn, N.Y.," displays a number of moderate-to-heavy creases, as well light staining in the lower right corner.
