56% Ex to Ex-Mt (including a few higher), 38% Vg to Vg-Ex, and 6% lesser. Extremely presentable midgrade complete set of 1960 Topps baseball. The rookie cards of Hall of Famers Carl Yastrzemski and Willie McCovey highlight the 1960 Topps issue, which was Topps’ last horizontal issue. Many of the biggest stars in the set, including Mantle, Mays, and Aaron, appear in the set more than once due to the All-Star card series. Mantle actually has three cards in this set, as he also appears on the #160 "Rival All-Stars" card with Ken Boyer. We have submitted six cards to be professionally graded and encapsulated by PSA. Keys:
#1 Wynn (90/10 L/R, otherwise Ex), 10 Banks (Vg-Ex+), 18 Dodgers Team (Vg), 28 B. Robinson (Vg+), 35 Ford (Vg-Ex), 50 Kaline (Ex+), 73 Gibson (Vg-Ex+), 148 Yastrzemski RC (VG-EX 4), 160 Mantle/Boyer (VG-EX 4 [MC]), 200 Mays (Gd), 210 Killebrew (5/95 T/B, otherwise Vg-Ex), 250 Musial (Vg-Ex+), 300 Aaron (2/98 T/B, otherwise Nr/Mt), 316 McCovey RC (VG-EX 4), 326 Clemente (Vg), 332 Yankees Team (Ex-Mt+), 343 Koufax (Vg-Ex), 350 Mantle (VG-EX 4), 377 Maris (Ex), 420 Mathews (Ex), 445 Spahn (Vg-Ex+), 475 Drysdale (Vg-Ex), 480 Berra (Ex+), 490 F. Robinson (Vg), 493 Snider (Vg+), 554 McCovey AS (Vg), 558 Mathews AS (Vg+), 560 Banks AS (Ex), 561 Kaline AS (Ex), 563 Mantle AS (NM 7), 564 Mays AS (NM 7), 565 Maris AS (Gd), and 566 Aaron AS (Vg-Ex). Complete 1960 Topps sets show up with far less frequency than many other sets from the era. This is a very attractive midgrade set, and in addition to all the special cards and scarce high-numbers (#507-572), it is loaded with Hall of Famers and stars from the 1960s. Total: 572 cards. Reserve $400. Estimate $1,000+.
