Graded EX 5 by PSA (submitted by REA). Very attractive rookie card of Hall of Fame pitcher Sandy Koufax. This is one of the 1950s' most famous and noteworthy cards. The 1955 Topps Koufax rookie (#123) is also the most valuable card in that year's set after Roberto Clemente's rookie card in the high-number series. This card, which is one of the highlights of an original-owner collection consigned to this auction, displays brilliant colors, flawless registration, centering towards the upper right, and light, even corner wear. The offered example displays only minor printing specs in the yellow background, which are so common to this card. Entirely clean reverse. This is an outstanding example of Sandy Koufax's rookie card, one of the most popular and classic of all 1950s bubble-gum cards. Reserve $200. Estimate $400+.
