Collection of fourteen original artworks (3 x 3.5 inches) used by the Helmar Brewing Company for its "Big League Brew" cards. This issue, which is similar in style to "R319" Goudey cards, is one of Helmar's most popular sets and, in keeping with the company's tradition, includes not only Hall of Fame and non Hall of Fame players, but also Negro League stars, Japanese players, and even House of David team members. The set began production in 2010 and new additional cards are still being issued today. Each of the original artworks is accompanied by an affixed COA on the reverse from Helmar that is signed by both the artist and Charles Mandel, owner of the Helmar Brewing Company. Each COA also includes the corresponding card number for the artwork, and its date of creation. It must be pointed out that for a few of the artworks, the card number was later changed during issue. Such changes are duly noted in the listing. Original Artworks (14): # 30 Dolph Camilli (2007; actually issued as card #31), 76 Tris Speaker (2008), 103 Frank Wickware (2008), 127 Eddie Collins (2008), 128 Satchel Paige (2008; actually issued as card #400), 195 Alejandro Oms (2010), 225 Spots Poles (2011), 232 Sam Rice (2011), 233 Tom Zachary (2011), 299 Babe "Blimp" Phelps (2011; actually issued as card #295), 311 Lefty Grove (2013), 322 Jim Thorpe (2012; actually issued as card #309), 337 Lou Gehrig (2013; actually issued as card #333), and 339 Walter Johnson (2013; actually issued as card #332).
