Collection of twelve original news photos, plus one wire photo (caption embedded into the photo), dating from the 1930s through the 1960s. Each photo in this collection (which is part of a much larger collection assembled decades ago and presented in a number of lots in this auction) includes one or more Hall of Famers. All of the photos display flaws common to working press photos, including light-to-moderate creases and editorial markings. Seven of the photos include their original paper news caption (most are detached but accompany the photo) and all but one display the respective news-service stamp on the reverse.
